Hive

Hive, has been designed to rescue and shield bees from the harmful effects of electromagnetic radiation emitted by network towers and boosting agriculture farm production as well.

By providing a safe and healthy environment for bees, Hive not only helps to maintain bee populations, but also contributes to increased crop yields through enhanced pollination. Our project seeks to promote sustainable farming practices by prioritizing the well-being of bees, and underscores the importance of protecting our natural ecosystems.

Why do we need Bees?

Bees visit more than 90% of the leading global crop types—the crops like chocolate, coffee, apple berries, almonds, Etc. Rely on bees' pollination.

There has been a major issue with declining bee colonies worldwide in recent years. In the UK, the population of bees dropped 17 percent, and in the US, almost 30 percent.

Bees are given to farmer to boost pollination for their crop in their farm.

Even Albert Einstein predicted that if the bee vanished from the face of the Earth, man would have only four years to live.

Analysis

Why bees are dying?

  • Loss of habitat.

  • Climate change.

  • Pesticide and neoncide.

  • Pest and diseases.

  • Radiation.

Radiation

  • As a result, cell phone masts and other cellular equipment emit radiation that can interfere with bee navigation, both from the sun and by the earth's magnetic field. This will trigger colony collapse disorder by reducing the number of foraging bees returning to the hive.

  • Radiation can be one of the biggest problems to tackle the bee population as the use of electronics and wireless products are increasing day by day.

Problem Statement

There is a continuous increase in the usage of wireless and electronic devices, the amount of radiation is more likely to increase with will affect the population of bees.

Due to this increase in the radiation chances of colony collapse disorder will increase which will directly affect the farming of crops.

Design a product that will help bees reduce the exposure of radiation in farmland so that it will also help boost crop production and increase the population of bees.

The whole module works as a portable beehive in which the bees can be rescued and transported to bee keeper or to be kept around the farm land to boost the pollination of the crops.

Manufacturing

ROTATION MOLDING

The continuous rotation of the mould coats the walls equally during both the heating and cooling cycles.

Complex double-walled open containers can be produced without secondary processing.

Parts are moulded as a single solid component, avoiding the need for joining techniques like welding and joint fabrication, which cause weak spots.

Since the moulding medium is not subjected to external strain, it is more stable and the possibility of flaws in the finished product is reduced.

Rotomolding produces thicker edges, which reduces the probability of collapse at tension concentration points.
